Mamadou Dioum and his family create beautiful wood crafts that are both decorative and functional, including hand-carved chairs, tables, bowls, platters, mortar and pestles, drums, masks, and statuary. Mamadou learned his trade from his father, as did his brothers and cousins. Woodcarving has been in their family for generations.
Mamadou's tables are not just pieces of furniture, they are works of art. They're sturdy and functional, yet have the beauty and craftsmanship of museum piece. Each table is unique and is sculpted with great care. The intertwined tripod legs are sculpted from just one piece of wood. These tables come in all shapes and sizes and Mamadou is open to creating a new and unique design just for you.
